Update and commentary
Schedule so far is working out OK. Did fit test Monday, as well as monk set. Ended up running around for my marriage anniversary Tuesday but got a lot of walking in. Working on first actual set of how to box now.
------------
I have worked while fasting (up to 22 days) before so should not be a big issue. I use them mainly to get massive action and working inertia. If there is any issues I plan on moving to a juice based fast as that is shown to have significant energy boosting ability. And from there to a more moderate lifestyle, with intermittent fasting built in. Whether I actually hit 30 days is more so a flexible goal depending on how I react physically as well as my recovery time needed. Working out while fasting is actually fairly easy, it will slow recovery time initially but moderate effort is not to hard nor punishing. Gaining muscle and fasting are not antithetical to each other, however weird it seems both seem to work well as the muscle accelerates the whole process.
I have been on the fast since the evening of Christmas as my last full meal. So I am past the biggest hurdle for most, which is the first three days (includes a caffeine withdrawal as I drank a lot of coffee before hand). After this it should be mostly psychological barriers, if you have never fasted (for diet, religion or other) it can be rough the first time but seems to get easier as you end up with less toxicity each time and I have fasted multiple times of varying lengths. I feel pretty good so far, no big issues.
I got up today at 6am to work on the first set of how to box lessons. Fairly sore from pushing the fit test on Monday, but that is mostly my legs and they will need to adapt to running again anyway. Fair amount of energy, can feel a little sluggishness but nothing terrible. Mild headache from the caffeine withdrawal but much better, Tuesdays headache was worse. Definitely burning fat now as I have the typical ketone breath starting and cold limbs (both signs of fat burning).
As for the psychological aspects of this method, basically you really notice how much of our media and culture is based around eating. Every where you go it seems there is a restaurant or advertisement pushing more food. And after a few initial days you get super-sensitive to any trigger foods you used to eat. For me it is not so hard as I have done it before but occasionally you will just get this perfect whiff of something and it will be very difficult to resist. Good to learn about yourself and work on training to resist temptation.
Thanks for everything! I will post updates occasionally, probably Mondays (fit test update), and one or two other days.

Moderate heartburn, could be the heavily chlorinated water we have. Will start working on using the brita water filter more. Also, darn I suck at skipping, gonna need lots more practice.
