Situps...

I often wonder, what's is the best way to do situps?? I noticed that some people do it with their hands clasped behind their heads while some others do it with the arms arranged in a cross tight against their chests...
So, which is a more effective way of doing situps??

Don't clasp

Clasping hands behind the head is generally a bad idea as you end up placing strain on your neck/back as you "pull" your head forward - especially as fatigue sets in. Across the chest works, or intensity can be increased by holding hands near your ears/touching side of your head. That way, you get the benefit of more weight at the higher end of the lever, but you aren't allowing fatigue and poor focus to cause injury.
