Lesson 16 - The Straight Right

Here is the 1-2 with more hip rotation. Also tried to be a little further from the bag. How does this look to you?

Less is more

The rotation is pretty good on the right, but you're overdoing it on the left.

Take a look between :27 and :34, there's is nothing on those jabs. Try that small step forward to plant your foot and follow through.

You're also dropping your right hand from your cheek to your chest when you load up to throw it with your left still extended. It telegraphs the punch and leaves the chin wide open behind a weak jab. If you can stop your video at :12 or :15 you can see it.

Keep the right up and throw it straight across from it's defense position as the left comes back.

Watch the video your rightheel comes way to high making you off balance keep on the balls of your feet, your left foot should not pivot but glide in as you launch your jab .Your right shoulder is pulling back big time telegraphing it.Look at tiime frame of 17 - 25. get your self a big tall mirror to shadow box. Practice form before speed and power.
