DAY 7 REVIEW
Still sticking to the diet. That has been the easiest part of plan for me. That's a surprising fact because I had been eating 3 meals a day which included eating out at lunch everyday and a sub or pizza for dinner. Actually, Pizza was a 2-3 times a week meal. I'm happy to admit I haven't even wanted pizza. I believe this is because of the training and constantly working out. Working out makes me feel healthy and it seems counterintuitive to show a half pizza into my mouth after a great sweat. Along with the pizza always came pop. Soda is another thing I have had no yearanings for. I'm fairly intelligent about soda and the negative effects, but it didn't matter to me until I started eating and living healthy. I owe my new attitude adjustment regarding these dietary changes to you Aaron, so thank you.
Running: Well, day 7 was actually skipping. I couldn't finish the workout. I just don't know how people are skipping for this long. I will expound on this thought at the end of the program blog. I would really like some honest feedback from others in the program to hear how many people are finishing the morning cardio workouts in their entirety.
Boxing: What a great workout. Really got a great sweat going. I love pushing through the workout to complete it while feeling totally exhausted. I really want to update some videos of my progress so I can get some feedback on my technique from Aaron and others. I'm so whipped at the end of the night, along with spending time with my 4 year old and getting him to bed, so I haven't had the time to upload videos. I will make a dedicated effort to get these up tomorrow night.
Finally, I'm writing this post on the morning of Day 8. I can say my body feels great but I am very sore. Mostly my calves. I assume it's from the skipping and trying to stay on the balls off my feet while boxing and shadowboxing. I wasn't a huge 'skipping guy' before this and I can admit that's the most difficult part of the entire program for me. On the bright side, my skipping - especially my boxer shuffle - has really improved.
Til next time,
Ryan
